I have a few books that are on my nightstand and/or carried around to read but I’ve recently discovered the joys of audio books. I was quite reluctant to give it a go but I bit the bullet and am finding it marvelous to get some extra reading time in while doing other things… Like driving, while on my stationary bike or baking !!!

He Will be my Ruin was a relatively fast read, sprinkled with intrigue, steaminess, romance, murder and money. Just the right dose of each. An art conspiracy is cleverly woven into the story as well, giving it an extra twist. I’d say, Tucker gives the reader just enough crumbs, at just the right time.

The overall feel of the book was like film noir, gritty and real. Kroll brings us such a beautifully flawed character with Peterson. Flawed, resilient, frustrated and combating his own demons. There is such an old school feel with this book.

You may have heard that a certain raindrop has gone on a trip, so I thought I’d sneak in and write a little blogpost while no-one was looking. Let me do something once and I come back for more! So without further ado, here are my thoughts on an intriguing sci-fi novel I’ve been reading. David […]

Such a great read !!! The intimate stories from Promise Falls makes the read and the town all that more believable. The key ? — The characters, their stories and the way it’s told. Linwood Barclay delivers an impressive thriller that left me wanting more !

Two detectives, two series of murders, two different countries… how does this all tie together? That is what I was thinking throughout the novel and by the end, I was not disappointed. Blair connects the two seamlessly.
